Bhavya Rai (she/her) identifies as a butterfly, but also as a South Asian-American woman with ADHD combined-type. Born in Noida, India, she emigrated to the United States a day after she turned one.

You live, you fail, you learn. In 2019, after turning around from the verge of dropping out, Bhavya graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She created her interdisciplinary B.A. in Business Multimedia, rounded out by minors in Composition, Rhetoric, & Digital Literacy and the Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship. During COVID, she studied Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Harvard Extension School, because why not.

She is now pursuing her Masters in Social Entrepreneurship at the USC Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles, CA. At FUZE Technology, she serves as the Marketing & Brand Partnerships Lead. But if you talk to her, it should probably be about mental health, music, or magic.

She cites work experiences at Amazon, Under Armour, MTV, 988, Newell Brands, & her professional photography business— comprising of over 200 shoots—as instrumental in shaping her path.

“Tolerating discrimination of any kind— including but not limited to ableism, ageism, racism, sexism, & sexualism—should not be the norm. When we listen, educate, collaborate, & share stories collectively, a kinder, more respectful, more empathetic world does not feel as out of reach. This is what drives what I create.”

“We’re focused on reducing inequalities in accordance with UN Global Goal #10, taking each other off pedestals through open dialogue, and embracing our inelegancies well enough to become serious change agents during our time here. If nothing else, it’s to serve as a reminder to anyone—you are never alone.”
